COVID-19 and TLCF DECISION TO POSTPONE OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

The Annual TLCF Fundraiser has been rescheduled to September 13, 2020.  However, we will continue to monitor this ever-evolving situation.  We feel it is imperative to safeguard the health and well-being of our supporters and volunteers and to follow the mandates of our state, local, and federal government officials.  To that end, the event will be different from years' past.  We will be innovative in our approach to executing the event, will adopt a flexible refund policy, and will be following safety recommendations and guidelines set forth by our federal, state, and local officials.

How You Can Help
LEARN AND SHARE PROPER HAND WASHING TECHNIQUES
Here is a handwashing guide page using material from their CNA training resources to help better educate the public on the proper steps for handwashing to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

GIVE BLOOD

The American Red Cross now faces a severe blood shortage due to an unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations during this coronavirus outbreak.

Healthy individuals are needed to donate now to help patients counting on lifesaving blood.  https://www.redcross.org/local/minnesota.html

SEW FACE MASKS
We all want to help with the current COVID-19 crisis. Many of you may be wondering how you can help. Sewing face masks could be one way. Our sewing friend, Phyllis, has collected some information about making face masks to share with sewing friends.  More information will be coming through the American Sewing Guild.

RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES

The World Health Organization has released a book called "My Hero is You, How kids can fight COVID-19!”.
Written for children around the world affected by the Coronavirus, it is a resource for parents to help their children ages 6-11 understand and cope with the pandemic. The link includes a free downloadable .pdf in english. It is available in many different languages as well.

Everyday,  in every community, EMS responders answer the call to provide  lifesaving care and transportation for our family members, neighbors,  and friends. We  believe in strong, prepared, resilient communities through the power of  education and well-trained emergency service workers, nurses and  committed community volunteers.
